5 Ways We Make Scripture Study Actually Happen (Even When It’s Chaotic)
I used to think family scripture study needed to look picture-perfect: quiet kids, profound insights, everyone listening reverently. But in my house? It looks more like snack crumbs in the scriptures, someone crying halfway through (probably me), and my toddler asking where the dinosaurs are in the Book of Mormon. Turns out, the Lord never asked for perfection — He just asked for our hearts. Five minutes of scripture study is better than none. Tiny, messy seeds still grow strong roots. And I’m learning that Jesus meets us in the chaos — right there on the living room floor.

This, Too, Is Kingdom Work
Some days, kingdom work looks like sticky floors, overflowing laundry, and whispered prayers over little ones who don’t even know how much they’re teaching us about trust. Motherhood might feel ordinary and messy, but it’s holy ground — the mission field where Jesus meets us right where we are.

The Place My Soul Runs To
Some days, all we know how to do is run—run with fears, questions, anger, guilt, and exhaustion. Run to Him with empty hands and a trembling heart towards. He meets us in the middle of the storm, He doesn’t get scared when its messy. That’s where healing begins—in the arms of a God who still runs to meet us, even when we’re barely making it toward Him.

What Is Love?
We talk about Jesus’ love so easily- sometimes to easily. But real love isn’t always soft or beautiful. The love that saved us bled, it wept in a garden, and it was torn open by whips and nailed to a cross. It didn’t come polished or pretty- it came through suffering. And yet, it was love in its truest and holiest form. A love that stays. A love that chose pain so we could know peace. A love that looked at us in our brokenness and sin and said, “still I go.”

Intentional Discipleship
How can we become more intentional in our discipleship? How can we move beyond simply checking boxes and instead allow our faith to truly burn within us, shaping our choices and influencing our hearts?

Faith in Every Phase
Just like the phases of the moon, our faith goes through cycles of waxing and waning constantly—sometimes bright and full, other times just a sliver. But no matter what phase we find ourselves in, Christ’s light remains constant, waiting for us to reflect it. It’s about embracing every phase of your journey of discipleship and trusting that Christ is with you, shining through you, always.
